மகா சக்தியான துர்கா தேவியைப் போற்றும் வகையில் ஒன்பது நாட்கள் விமரிசையாக கொண்டாடப்படும் ஓர் விழா தான் நவராத்திரி. இந்த ஒன்பது நாட்களும் துர்கா தேவியின் 9 வடிவங்கள் வழிபடப்படுகிறது.

நவராத்திரியின் ஒன்பது நாட்களிலும், அம்மனின் ஒன்பது வடிவங்களும் மிகவும் விஷேசமாக பூஜிக்கின்றனர். இந்த ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 26 ஆம் தேதி நவராத்திரி திருவிழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Navratri is a festival celebrated for nine days in honor of Goddess Durga. 9 forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped on these nine days. During the nine days of Navratri, the nine forms of Goddess are worshiped very specially.

நவராத்திரியின் இறுதி நாளில் விஜயதசமி அன்று ராவணன், மேகநாதர் மற்றும் கும்பகர்ணனின் பெரிய உருவ பொம்மைகளை உருவாக்கி அதனை தீ வைத்து எரித்து மக்கள் கொண்டாடுகின்றனர். இதனால், நவராத்திரி திருவிழாவானது தீமைக்கு எதிரான வெற்றியை அடையாளப்படுத்துவதாக கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

On Vijayadashami, the last day of Navratri, people celebrate by making huge effigies of Ravana, Meghnath and Kumbhakarna and setting them on fire. Thus, the festival of Navratri is celebrated to symbolize victory over evil.

கல்வியின் ஞான சொரூபமான அன்னை சரஸ்வதி தேவி அளிக்கும் கல்வி செல்வத்திற்கு மரியாதை செய்யும் நாளான நவராத்திரி 9 ஆம் நாள் ஆயுத பூஜை ஆகும். பாண்டவர்கள் அஞ்ஞாத வாசம் முடிந்த பிறகு வன்னி மரத்தில் மறைத்து வைத்த ஆயுதங்களை எடுத்து வழிபட்ட தினமே ஆயுத பூஜை எனவும், விஸ்வர்கமா தனது படைப்பு உதவிய கருவிகளுக்கு அபராஜிதா தேவியை எண்ணி செய்த பூஜை ஆயுத பூஜை பல கதைகள் உள்ளது.

நவராத்திரி 9 ஆம் நாள் வாசனைப் பொடி கோலமிட்டு தாமரை, மருக்கொழுந்து, துளசி, வெள்ளை மலர்கள் அல்லது கதம்ப மலர்கள் கொண்டு அலங்காரம் செய்தல் வேண்டும். வெற்றிலை பாக்கு தாம்பூலம் வைத்து பொன், ப்ஞ்லோகம், நவமணி போன்ற மாலைகள் சூடி பூஜை செய்யலாம். பூஜையின் போது வசந்தா ராகம் வாசிக்க வேண்டும்.

 

இவ்வாறு நவராத்திரி 9 ஆம் நாள் ப்ராஹ்மி தேவியை வழிபாடு செய்வதால் நமக்கு நீண்ட ஆயுள், நல்ல ஆரோக்கியம், சௌபாக்கியமான சந்ததிகள் கிடைக்கும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை ஆகும்.

On the 9th day of Navratri, one should sprinkle fragrant powder and decorate it with lotus, neem, tulsi, white flowers or kadamba flowers. Pooja can be done by burning garlands like Pon, Pnhlokam, Navamani with betel nut tambulam. Vasantha ragam should be played during the pooja. Thus worshiping Goddess Brahmi on the 9th day of Navratri is believed to give us long life, good health and blessed offspring.

ஆயுதபூஜை

நம்மை வாழவைக்கும் தெய்வங்களையும் ஆயுதங்களையும் வணங்கும் நாள் ஆயுதபூஜை. கல்விக்கு அதிபதி சரஸ்வதி. ஞானத்தை அருள்பவள் அவளே. அந்த அன்னையை வணங்க நவராத்திரி பண்டிகையின் நவமி நாள் நல்ல நாள். அன்றைய தினம் ஆயுதங்களையும் வணங்குகிறோம். நாம் உபயோகப்படுத்தும் பொருட்கள் மட்டுமின்றி பைக், கார்,சிறுவர்களின் சைக்கிள்கள் வரை பூஜை போட்டு வணங்குகின்றனர். சரஸ்வதி பூஜையையொட்டி, பூஜையறையில் புத்தகம், பேனா போன்றவற்றை வைத்து, சரஸ்வதி அருளை பெற வழிபடுகின்றோம். அதேபோல தீயவை அழிந்து நல்லவை வெற்றி பெற்றதை கொண்டாடும் நாளே விஜயதசமி திருநாளாகும்.

Ayudha Puja is a day to worship the deities and weapons that keep us alive. Saraswati is the lord of education. She is the giver of wisdom. Navami day of Navratri festival is an auspicious day to worship that Mother. Weapons are also worshiped on that day. Not only the things we use, but also bikes, cars, children's bicycles are worshiped. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, we keep a book, pen etc. in the puja room and pray to get the grace of Saraswati. Similarly Vijayadasami is the day to celebrate the destruction of evil and victory of good.

ஆயுதங்களுக்கு வழிபாடு ஆயுதம் என்பதன் உண்மையான பயனை உணர்த்தத்தான் ஆயுத பூஜை கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இறைவன் அனைத்திலும் நீக்கமறை நிறைந்திருக்கிறான் என்பதை உணர்த்துவதே இதன் ஐதீகம். இதுவரை தொழில் சிறப்பாக நடந்ததற்கு கடவுளுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் வகையிலும் இனி சிறப்பாக நடப்பதற்கு அருள் வேண்டும் வகையிலும் ஆயுதபஜை கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
